Projects/MP3 ethernet

From BlueMelon

MP3speler.jpg

In the beginning of the MP3 player era (2002) the founders of Blue Melon built a MP3 player. Some properties of the system can still be considered competitive to existing players today. The player supported an ethernet port with which the player could be accessed from the internet (FTP and HTTP). The player furthermore featured a 160GB 2.5 inch harddisk and a complete GUI. Special 80186 assembly drivers (SC-12) were integrated in a multi-tasking operating system including a multi-media file system.
