The BlueSense network consists of routers and sensor/actuator modules.

At the moment we have 3 kind of routers:

The USB router is connected to the computer via USB and to other modules by a connection cable.

The USB wireless router is connected to the computer via USB.
The Wireless receiver router is connected to other modules by a connection cable.

The Ethernet router is connected to the computer via UTP and to other modules by a connection cable.

A router connects multiple sensor/actuator modules by allowing you to chain the modules with a cable.

Wired network

This is an example of a simple wired BlueSense network. You can set up the connection in 4 easy steps:

  1. Connect one side of the USB cable to your computer
  2. Connect the other side of the USB cable to BlueSense USB router
  3. Connect one side of the extension cable to the BlueSense USB router (make sure the red wire is on the same side as the number 1 written on the board)
  4. Connect the other side of the extension cable to one of the BlueSense modules (make sure the red wire is on the same side as the number 1 written on the board)

In this example we have used an analogue input, but you could use any of the BlueSense modules:

Wireless network

This is exactly the same network as the wired network above, only without the wires.

  1. Connect one side of the USB cable to your computer
  2. Connect the other side of the USB cable to BlueSense USB Wireless router
  3. Connect one side of the extension cable to the BlueSense Wireless receiver router (make sure the red wire is on the same side as the number 1 written on the board)
  4. Connect the other side of the extension cable to one of the BlueSense modules (make sure the red wire is on the same side as the number 1 written on the board)
  5. Connect an adapter to the BlueSense Wireless receiver router
    • The black wire into the '-'
    • The marked white wire into the '+'
  6. Press the button on the BlueSense USB Wireless router (the LED will burn red)
  7. Press the button on the BlueSense Wireless receiver router (the LEDs on both boards will blink green)

Advanced network possibilities

Beneath you will find a wired and a wireless example of one of the possibilities of the BlueSense network. By using the extension cables, you can connect multiple modules to only one router.
