The BM7001 Bluesense digital switch inputs module can be used to readout switches, rotary encoders and counters. The patch below demonstrates the use of switches. It is also possible to combine the patches. Eg. have some inputs configured as switches, others as rotaries or counters.

First you need the top block to establish the connection between Max MSP(tm) and the BlueSense usb (wireless) router. The middle block contains the digital input module. The first argument of the module is its identification number. Every BlueSense module has its own identification number which never changes. The id can be found on the module itself, and can also be found by checking the module table of the BlueSenseMaster component.

The "switch input" module has twelve inputs. In Max MSP(tm) you can choose the six inputs of the "A" side by typing an A as second argument after the BlueSenseSwitchInput component. By typing a B you can choose the six inputs of the "B" side. The switch states are sent to the bit valued outputs of the Max MSP(tm) component. There is also a seventh output. This output contains the six inputs combined in a number.
