With the BM7009 you have three relay outputs at your disposal. This makes it possible to switch power electronics. For example bulbs, small domestic appliances etc. Directcurrent up to 30 Volt as well as alternating current loads (230V) can be switched with the BM7009. Because a relay is in fact a galvanic seperated switch, you can safely for example, electronically switch buttons or switches from devices operating at different voltages.

There are two ways to switch devices on/off with BlueSense.

Do it yourself

The first way is to connect a relay to a BM7002 Bluesense digital outputs. It is advisable to attach the relay to a solid surface and to make sure you have robust wireing. Because you typically switch large power and/or high voltage devices with a relay, loose or bad wireing is a potential danger risk. You have a larger risk for short circuit which could result in fire or damage to other equipment. Bad wireing also increases the risk for electric shock.

Ready made

To have a safer and more robust way to switch devices using relay, Blue Melon developed a dedicated BlueSense module to do the job. Not only is this module safer and more reliable when switching (power) electronics, it also saves you the hassle of doing it yourself wich saves time and trouble. The only thing you have to do, is to connect the device you want to switch to the screwconnectors and plug the module into the BlueSense network.
