Products/BM7002 Open Collector outputs

From BlueMelon

The BM7002 enables you to switch so called 'open collector' outputs. This opens up possibilities to directly switch small lights, relays, solenoids or other components which have their own power supply.

By routing the positive voltage connection of your own power supply to the board you can use the boards internal diodes. This allows you to switch an inductive load. As an example you can switch a relay without needing any auxiliary components!

Firmware: V2.0 As of April 12th 2006 this module can generate a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal on each output. This allowes you to dim a LED, control the speed of a small motor, or control a light dimmer. If you have bought the module before this date an upgrade is possible. Tools to update the firmware of the module can be found on the Products/BlueSense/Downloads page.
